英文信件的寫法在許多方面與中文信件有很大的不同，下面我們簡單介紹一下英文信件的格式和寫法。

I． 信封的格式

1）寫信人的姓名、地址寫在信封正面的左上角。

2) 收信人的姓名、地址寫在信封正面中央稍偏右的地方。

3) 郵票貼在信封的右上角。

4) 地址的寫法是先寫收信人或寄信人的姓名，然后按照從小到大順序依次寫出門牌號、街道、城市、省

或州名、郵編，最后寫國名。

5) 收信人名前應根據需要加：Mr（先生）、Mrs（太太、夫人）、Miss（小姐）、Ms（女士，已婚或

未婚均可）、Dr（博士）、Prof（教授）等稱呼，以示禮貌。有些中國學生給老師寫信常

用"teacher"作為稱呼，這種用法不正確。在英語中"teacher"就跟"worker，driver，farmer"等一

樣是一種職業，不能作為稱呼。男老師我們可以用Mr，女老師我們用Mrs、Miss或Ms作為稱呼。

 

II．信文的格式

1) 把寄信人的地址和日期 （簡稱"信頭"）寫在信紙的右上角。地址的寫法同信封。

2) 把收信人的姓名、地址（簡稱"內地址"）寫在寄信人地址和日期的左下方，即信紙的左邊，低寄信人

日期一至二行處。私人信件此項內容可以不寫。

3) 把稱呼寫在收信人姓名、地址下面，相距一行處。稱呼一般以"Dear …"開頭，后面用逗號。如無"內

地址"，可以把稱呼向上順移。

4) 書信正文從稱呼下一行的3至5個字母開始。

5) 如同漢語信一樣，英文信的結尾也常寫有"祝好"、"盼來信"、"代向……問好"之類的話，我們稱之

為"結束語"。

6) 在信的結尾下面簽上自己的姓名。除了對熟人或親密的人以外，簽名必須寫全姓名，而且不管什么

信件，都應由寫信人親筆簽名。

III．英文書信常用的開頭和結束語

1）開頭語

① I am very glad to hear from you.

很高興收到你的來信。

② Thank you for your letter.

謝謝你的來信。

③ I was very pleased ( happy ) to receive your letter of February 6, 2001 …

很高興收到你2001年2月6日的來信…。

④ Your letter of February 6, 2001 has been received.

你2001年2月6日的來信收到了。

⑤ It is a pleasure for me to get your letter.

⑥ I'm sorry to have taken so long to answer your last letter.

2）結束語
